Important notice

Afurotaku events are all-ages community spaces. Breaking the code of conduct can mean removal without refund and a ban from future events. Something wrong? Find any crew member wearing a crew badge, or write to info@afurotaku.com.

Code of conduct

▸Respect everyone: harassment of any kind means one warning, then out.
▸Keep shared spaces all-ages: language, signage and stall content included.
▸Crew calls are final on the day; appeals go to info@afurotaku.com after the event.

Cosplay & props

▸Every prop passes a check at the entrance: budget five minutes.
▸No live steel, functional blades or projectile props. Large builds get peace-bonded.
▸Changing rooms are available: no public changing.
▸The cosplay showcase has a Junior section (ages 12 and under) and an Open section (ages 13 and over). Each section is judged and awarded separately.
▸Showcase entries are registered as either a Replica or a Creative entry.

Photography & consent

▸Ask before close-up shots. Cosplay is not consent.
▸Crew photographers wear a crew badge; their sets go to the event gallery.
▸Want a photo taken down? One message to any crew channel: no questions. Parents and guardians can ask for any photo of their child to be removed.

Press & filming

▸Press and outside filming are only allowed with a press badge (magenta) issued by the crew.
▸To request one, email info@afurotaku.com with your outlet and the names of your team. Afurotaku confirms by reply, and badges are collected at the registration desk.
▸Ask a parent or guardian before photographing, filming or interviewing a child, and before publishing a child's name.

Stalls & vendors

▸Original or licensed merchandise only: no bootlegs.
▸Food vendors need valid permits before setup.
▸Stall setup starts at 08:30. The event runs 09:00 to 17:00 and may be extended; no mid-day pack-downs.

Tickets

▸Admission to Afurotaku Cosplay: SYLA is BWP 20.
▸Tickets are not refundable and cannot be transferred.
▸Removal for conduct means no refund.

Children, entry and badges

▸Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
▸Attendees under 18 need guardian consent.
▸Badge colours: Team purple, Partner amber, Stall teal, Press magenta, Judge muted purple.

Online spaces

▸Tag spoilers on the board: the statute of limitations is one week.
▸No piracy links. Group orders and swap tables exist for a reason.
▸Mods may remove posts; repeat offences follow the same one-warning rule.
